  • Institute Of Directors offers a suite of governance training to equip you with the tools to perform in your role at each stage of your development as a director. Our attendees continue to tell us how much they value the mix of learning, interaction and hearing real-life experiences from practicing directors.

  • IOD’s Boardroom training programmes are delivered in a variety of formats to best suit the Company’s needs.
  • OPEN HOUSE: Under this format, intense 3-days Weekend Director Development cum Certification Programmes on global best practice tools are conducted at all metro cities. This allows the participants to choose their venue and date as convenient to them.

  • IN-HOUSE: Under this format, the training programmes are delivered in half or full day sessions, covering one or more topics in much greater detail. Each module is designed as per the needs of the Boards and based upon their business functioning. This is normally being planned when all the Directors are at one place or they assemble for their Board meetings/AGMs etc.
  • Over the years IOD has been supporting business leaders and conducted hundreds of batches of Masterclass for Directors nationwide, serving you, your board and your organization to grow. It is specifically designed around professional competencies and delivered by directors, for directors.

  • IOD's Masterclass for Directors offers a whole vista of opportunities, for preparing and updating of both Executive and the Non-Executive Independent Directors. The course is under continuous watch to keep it updated with the latest regulatory changes, global trends and practices. We want you to achieve tangible outcomes from your investment, enabling you to deliver increased value and respond effectively to a challenging business environment.

Delivering an essential understanding of the board’s role in corporate governance and risk management, this introduction to the duties and legal responsibilities of a director will enable you to tackle the challenges of the boardroom with fresh confidence and progress your career to the next level.

Many professionals aim and aspire for incremental improvements in corporate governance practices. The latest intervention in governance process has come through the Companies Act 2013. Coupled with the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, it is arguably a sea change. Whether you’re a newly appointed director, aspiring to a position on the board, or looking to improve your performance with fresh insight, this practical three-day course will equip you with the crucial knowledge and skill-set to fulfil your role successfully.

  • Develop a practical understanding of best practice in the boardroom.
  • Directors wanting to develop their knowledge and skills before joining the board.
  • In addition to recognizing the director’s key legal responsibilities.
  • Directors will be conversant with the board’s role in corporate governance and be able to ensure transparency in internal procedures such as executive appointment and remuneration.
  • Makes efficiently assess risk, and how to effectively manage stakeholders while acting in your organization’s best interests.
  • Experienced directors wanting to bring best practices to their companies and gain up-to-the-minute knowledge, on a range of business and legal issue.
  • Step up to best practice governance and be part of the network of directors committed to excellence in governance.

The requirement of Independent Directors on the boards of Indian Companies has therefore gone up multifold due to the amendments in the Companies Act 2013 & SEBI’s (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Also the compulsory appointment of Woman Director on the Board of these Companies has increased the requirement of experienced and qualified Women Directors.

The Director development programme is designed for all Chairmen, CMDs, Directors, CFOs, CEOs, Company Secretaries, Chartered Accountants, Academia, Consultants and other Senior Executives who are keen to serve on Boards:-
  • Serving non-executive directors and aspiring independent directors of boards.
  • Directors wanting to develop their knowledge and skills before joining the board.
  • Newly appointed Directors wishing to establish their role and responsibilities on the board.
  • Experienced directors wanting to bring best practices to their companies and gain up-to-the-minute knowledge, on a range of business and legal issue.

P.S.: The Person should have minimum 5 Years of Experience at Senior Management level

All programmes are delivered by people who are not only skilled facilitators, but who have also worked at Board level within organizations ranging from multinational Corporates and SMEs, to all sizes of public sector organizations and not for profit bodies.
