Membership Criteria

The IOD offers three categories of membership. The following guidelines will help you in completing you membership application form.

Institutional Membership

To be elected as Institutional member, the organisation should be operational in the concerned area. Institutional Membership allows the organisation to nominate upto 4 individual members.

• Special low rates apply for registered Small Scale Industries.

Individual Membership

Associate Membership: To become an Associate Member you must be over 21 and reached the position of senior management.

• A sole proprietor of an incorporated business, or
• A senior executive reporting directly to a board member or other public body of standing or of a substantial national or international company, or
• A director who does not qualify as a Member, Kindly scroll down....

In exceptional cases, if you are unable to meet the above criteria, you may still be eligible as an Associate Member,

Member: To Qualify as member in addition to the requirments for an "Associate Member", you should be holding a responsible position in business, industry or government equivalent to a director.

Fellow: To be elected as a Fellow, Member must satisfy certain additional requirments, as under:

• Be a company director at the time of applying for fellowship.
• Have ten years of business experience and
• Have been a director for a minimum period of three years.

As a member of IOD you have the benefit of special 10% discount on all Conferences, Courses, events and Publications.

The members are entitled to us the following, after their names: Fellows: Firnt D, Members: MinstD, Associate Members: AMinstD.

Membership fees

All Cheques/Drafts to be made in favor of "INSTITUTE OF DIRECTORS" payable at New Delhi.
